AEROS 110/111 is a survey course designed to introduce students to the United States Air Force (USAF) and the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). Featured topics include: mission and organization of the USAF, basic officership and professionalism skills, military customs and courtesies, Air Force officer career opportunities, group leadership problems, and an introduction to proper communication skills. A Leadership Laboratory (LLAB) is mandatory for Air Force ROTC (AFROTC) cadets and complements this introductory course by providing cadets with followership experiences. AEROS 110/111 serves as a foundation upon which later AFROTC courses (and related activities such as the LLAB, USAF base visits, etc.) are built. The course will primarily consist of informal lectures and class discussions based on textbook, required outside readings, and class handouts. My intention is for this class to be interesting while teaching you some basic Air Force information in an enjoyable class setting.
